UGA Sustainability Tour WEDNESDAY, MAY 24
Walking tour that highlights an array of sustainability initiatives at the University of Georgia. The walking tour will weave through historic North Campus with a focus on natural and cultural resources as well as current programs designed to restore ecosystems and reduce energy, water, waste and carbon emissions in the campus living laboratory.
UGA Watershed Tour WEDNESDAY, MAY 24
This tour will make stops throughout the University of Georgia watershed featuring a visit to the 840 acre Whitehall Forest and the Oconee River to discuss dam removal and initiatives of Watershed UGA. Additional stops might include a visit to Lake Herrick and the UGArden farm.
State Botanical Gardens THURSDAY, MAY 25
This field tour will make a visit to see the vibrant flora of the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia located in Athens, GA. The tour will cover education and research through local natural areas, restoration, and battles with invasive species.
